Obverse: Devolved head of Apollo.

Reverse: Disjointed horse standing left, rosette or star below, anchor shape and pellets above.

History: The Corieltauvi were a large tribe whose territory occupied Lincolnshire and extending into Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. Their capital was at Leicester (Ratae, ‘ramparts’). This early South Ferriby stater is developed from Gallo-Belgic C staters.
